[she relaxes slightly when Oriko touches her shoulder]

[Oriko... exhales, then pulls Kirika into a hug]

If we really want to survive this, we have to look at things rationally, you know?

[She freezes when Oriko hugs her. It's...not something she expects; Oriko's not the kind of person to do that easily.]

["You're the most trustworthy person I know!" ... That sentence keeps Kirika from hugging Oriko back but she touches Oriko's arm instead.]

I can really help; just tell me what I can do and I'll do it.

...You might promise that, Kirika, but the world is not that kind. As of right now, neither of us can predict the future. It's better to proceed with caution. If we fight together, we can achieve far more than if we fought alone.
