Brass tacks for Etoile!AU changes:

• Is arriving from her immediate post-recruitment, ie immediately after becoming a magical girl. This lines up with when she met QB in canon; in other words, she has not been a magical girl terribly long.
  
• Does not, nor has ever had, the power of Precognition due to RP limitations.
  
• Cumulative effects of the above: She has neither met nor heard of any of the other cast-members of Puella Magi, including Yuuma, Madoka and Kirika.
  
• Thanks to her dad being a congressman, and Magical Girls being (I'd assume) an hotbed political issue, she knows a bit about them and some of the demographics, numbers and related action groups (ie parents' rights, MG rights, blah blah blah) involved. TL;DR Oriko didn't approach magical girls from the 'kyaa kyaa ribbons' perspective, because she's a boring sod.
